Steeple shaped terminal clusters of bright pink to rose purple flowers bloom midsummer into early fall. Removing spent flower clusters can encourage an additional bloom. MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance.  Flowers on new growth, to prune as needed in winter or early spring.  Potential issues include leaf spot, blight, root rot, powdery mildew, aphids, rollers, and scale.  Spreads by suckers to form colonies.
