ItUAr is a word invented by combining the initials of Italy, USA, and Argentina, the countries from which the musicians who play on this CD draw inspiration for both their compositional and improvisational styles. Naturally, not only the music of these countries but also of other origins informs the mix that then flows from their instruments in the performance, but in this CD the main sources are undoubtedly jazz, Argentine folk music such as candombe, milonga, and chacarera, and of course the musical sensibility and taste of our great country. In short, a work born of passion for music and which, like other works, marks an important transition in the musical (and other) lives of the three musicians.
