The Aphyosemion australe ‘Chocolate’ is a darker colour variant of the Lyretail Killifish, featuring rich brown tones with subtle patterning and contrasting fin highlights. It offers a more understated, natural look compared to brighter strains, making it popular with aquarists who prefer earthy, biotope-style displays.

Like other A. australe varieties, this fish thrives in heavily planted aquariums with low flow and subdued lighting. A secure lid is essential, as this species is capable of jumping.
