Seven years after they triumphed with Dvorák's quartets, Pavel Haas Quartet are back to Dvorák. For the occasion of recording his quintets, they have invited two guests: the pianist Boris Giltburg (winner of 2013 Queen Elizabeth Competition), as well as one of the PHQ founding members, violist Pavel Nikl. Antonín Dvorák composed his Piano Quintet No. 2 while staying at his beloved summer house in Vysoká in the late summer of 1887. The renowned critic Eduard Hanslick responded to it's performance in Vienna enthusiastically: "It is one of his most beautiful works. A genuine Dvorák." The String Quintet op. 97, albeit only six years younger, presents a completely "different Dvorák". After the Symphony from the New World and the "American" quartet, the string quintet is the composer's third work written in America. Besides drawing inspiration from the music of the Native American tribe of the Iroquois which he heard in Spillville in the summer of 1893, he built the third movement around a theme that he had previously considered using in a proposal for a new American anthem. And Hanslick's testimonial? "This is probably the simplest, most natural and happiest music composed since Haydn's times. The ear enjoys it with an easy-going attitude and the spirit is not bored for a single moment." Pavel Haas Quartet is at home in Dvorák's music - to quote the Sunday Times, "In this repertoire, they are simply matchless today."

Nice, BUT a few mounting holes would have made it 5 stars!

These seem to be fine but since I have to use this to hold a power brick to a wood joist which is NOT smooth, the included adhesive back is not something that will hold securely! I ended up have to screw two wafer head screws through the rubber backing and into the joist to hold the holder to the wood joist securely. If they put some thought into the design, it would have been nice, if they had incorporated a few mounting holes, which would have taken care if this being mounted to items that are not smooth such as a wood joist or other rough surfaces!

Great for a gaming laptop!

Great product is you want to mount any size laptop under your desk. I used it for my Alienware gaming laptop and it's fantastic! The three points of contact hold the laptop securely, while allowing maximum airflow for the fans. The three "clamps" are rock solid and will definitely outlive the laptop. The installation was simple and easy, just need a drill.

under desk laptop system

Reclaimed real desk space with this one. The mount holds the laptop securely underneath without any vibration or creaking and the installation required no drilling — clamped cleanly to the desk edge. The ventilation spacing is generous enough that thermals stay reasonable even under load. Works with a solid range of laptop sizes and the adjustment mechanism is easy to use. If your laptop spends most of its time docked this is the cleanest way to get it out of the way.

Works great, but pads are peeling.

Works for what I needed, which was to mount my work laptop to the side of my desk. However, the rubber pads started peeling the first day. I tried clamping them down overnight, but they still ended up peeling up. They haven't come off completely and are still working, though. I may have to glue them down.
