The full cheek has two transverse bars on the jaw piece. This shape creates more pressure on the horse's cheeks. This makes a horse easier to maneuver and a bit cannot be pulled through the mouth as easily. In addition, this bit is quiet and stable in the mouth. The full cheek is ideal for young horses due to the pressure distribution or spirited horses to prevent the bit from being pulled through the mouth. With the TRUST full cheek, the bars on the jaw piece are slightly bent outwards so that they cannot come into contact with the side of the horse's head. It is therefore important that you hang the bit in the mouth with the rods facing out, so that they cannot cause wounds.
The double-broken bit has two hinge points, is shaped more to the mouth and is a bit looser in the mouth. This bit works on the tongue, the layers and the corners of the mouth. Be careful with narrow lower jaws, the hinge points can then press on the layers, which can cause wounds. Compared to a single broken bit, this bit has more effect on the tongue. A double-broken mouthpiece is a standard mouthpiece.
Sweet iron will rust when in contact with (air) humidity; the surface rust tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the saliva production. This will cause the horse to salivate more which will encourage the horse to take more contact. The process of rusting (oxidation) changes the blue color of the TRUST-bit to a brownish-grey. A sweet iron bit will develop an orange-brown rust layer on the mouthpiece if it is temporarily not used. This is easily removed by wiping it off with a damp cloth.
The bits of TRUST equestrian are ultra-Dutch. All bits are designed, developed and handmade in the Netherlands. Every day a team of technical professionals works on the production of the TRUST bits. Trust bits are composed with the greatest care and made of the best materials, the quality control and standard is therefore very high.
TRUST bits are anatomically shaped. The balance between shape, material and weight is constantly taken into account. TRUST bits are slightly curved so that they are better shaped towards the horse’s mouth. Because of this anatomical shape, the bit lies better in the mouth and the pressure is better distributed.
