Die in tonigen, kreidigen Farben gehaltenen, atmosphärisch dichten Gemälde des belgischen Künstlers Luc Tuymans (*1958 in Mortsel) stellen einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Revitalisierung der Malerei dar. Spätestens seit seinen Auftritten auf der Biennale Venedig 2001 und der Documenta11 gehört er international zu den bedeutendsten Künstlern seiner Generation. Besonderes Augenmerk richtet er auf als schwierig oder nicht darstellbar geltende historische Themen wie die Passion Christi, den Holocaust oder die belgischen Kolonialverbrechen im Kongo. Daneben zeigt Luc Tuymans Alltagsmotive und karge Räume, die, wie durch einen weißen Schleier gesehen, eine filmähnliche Spannung aufbauen und zu Orten des Unheimlichen werden. Die Publikation gewährt anhand einer Auswahl von fast 70 Arbeiten und Bildergruppen einen Überblick über sein beeindruckendes Werk. Great Shelves! Drywall Anchors are the Bomb!
These shelves are very plain as I hoped they would be so as to not take away from the items displayed. The blue is true to the images so I was impressed by that. Word of knowledge: if you do not hit any studs, don’t use the mollies that came with them; use plastic drywall anchors! They work amazingly well!

Pretty shelves for small space

Good quality shelves and easy to install once I used my own stronger anchors and screws. The ones provided were too weak and made the shelf unstable. I had to patch several holes in my wall before installing them correctly. If they had provided better quality anchors I would have rated it 5 stars. Still very happy with my purchase.

Flimsy and doesn’t hold weight

Do not buy this. The frame this comes with is so small and flimsy. I didn’t even have anything on the shelves yet and they were falling off the wall. The wood is a beautiful color but the quality is awful.
I had different floating shelves on the same wall and I included a picture of the thick metal frame those came with, also from Amazon to show how flimsy this brand is.

Really nice shelves well-made

Look nice, not sturdy or supportive

The color and thickness of the shelf is great. Very easy to install. But the wall mount portion is cheaply made and doesn’t support the shelf as well as it should. Once mounted the shelf leans forward and isn’t sturdy. After mounting, I found my items had slid off end up on the floor.
