Herkunft
Kelims (auch Kilim, Qilim) wurden traditionell nur für den Eigengebrauch hergestellt. Nomaden und Bauern benutzten und benutzen ihre Kelims flach gewebten Kelims als Teppiche auf dem Boden, aber auch als Zelt- oder Wandbehänge, Decken, Kissen oder Taschen. Mit unseren neuen Kelims haben wir die traditionelle iranische Webtechnik weiterentwickelt, um deutlich festere und dickere Kelims herstellen zu können. Diese neue Generation der Kelims nennen wir Kelim Hoch2.Für unsere Kelim Hoch2 wickeln wir mit Naturfarben gefärbte Schurwolle um dicke Stränge grob gesponnener Schurwolle und stellen so feste Bahnen mit einer außergewöhnlichen Textur her. Diese Bahnen mit verschiedenen Farben und Mustern nähen wir dann mit groben Stichen zusammen, um die gewünschte Breite zu erreichen. Das Ergebnis sind zeitgemäße, sehr strapazierfähige Kelims mit schlichten Mustern und harmonischen Farbtönen.
Material
Der Flor dieses Kelim Hoch2s wurde aus hochwertiger Schurwolle handgeknüpft. Schurwolle wird durch das schonende Scheren von Schafen gewonnen.

It's real!

Off white but totally happy. Even though it's wool, it doesn't itch and is very soft. The patches are few and not at all noticeable from front. Very thick and looks great!

Beautiful rug but smelly when you first unpack it.

Beautiful quality. Deep thick fur. The "patches" are noting more than where 4 or 5 inch splits, one at each end were stitched back together. I wouldn't have even called them patches. They are the same stitching as used to join the two pelts in the middle. The color is a very clean white. Being natural pelt, I was really expecting something a little more blond. I've bought New Zealand sheepskin several times before and I don't doubt this is Aussie or Kiwi sheepskin but I didn't notice this is processed in China before I bought it. Still, the only complaint I had was a strange chemical smell when I unwrapped it. It didn't smell like the tanning chemicals from previous pelts. But it's gone away after 3 weeks so I guess all's good.

Soft and comfortable. Quality leather nsckrd. Genuine sheepskin. No off odors. I'm skinny and not on tailbone. Hoping this helps. The grey tipped is more of a bluish gray. Pretty but not s true gray.

On the fence? This is the sheepskin to get!

I've been reading all the reviews for sheepskins on AMZ and felt this company was the one to go for and WOW did they deliver! The sheepskin came well wrapped but not vacuum packed and is even prettier in person than the pictures. It is super soft, fluffy and dense and mine measured 26" x 40". I absolutely love the wolf tipped colors: ivory, dark grey and a slight brownish hue. There is a slight odor but I don't find it offensive. It stayed put on my leather couch and sitting on it during a Netflix movie was heavenly warm and comfortable. I did not observe any shedding. Will definitely buy another wolf tipped one, once it becomes available as it is worth the money.
