Am 6. Juli 1801 erreichten Humboldt und Bonpland Bogota, Kolumbien. Dort trafen Sie José Mutis, den wahrscheinlich wichtigsten Botaniker in Südamerika. Die umfangreiche botanische Sammlung und die großartige Bibliothek sowie Mutis botanische Bücher und Zeichner (und Zeichnungen) verstärkten Humboldt's Forschungsdrang, sich intensiver auf dieser Reise um Pflanzen zu kümmern. Als direkte Folge dieser Bekanntschaft drangen Humboldt und Bonpland tief in die Anden ein, die bis dahin kaum erforscht waren.
Eine von den unzählig vielen Pflanzen, die auf dieser Reise entdeckt wurden, war Anthurium pedatum. Leider ist der genaue Fundort nicht protokolliert worden, und daher unbekannt.
Anthurium pedatum hat sehr lange Blattstiele, bis zu 60cm lang, die eng aneinander an der Basis entspringen. Dadurch hat die Pflanze ein für diese Gattung weniger typisches, aber sehr elegant-majestätisches Erscheinungsbild.

I purchased this frother in mid Oct and less than 90 days later, it's no longer working. The wisk does not spin, and the element does not heat the milk. I am currently working with customer support on a refund / replacement, but so far not happy. I've been told it does not work with 2% organic milk and that I need to switch to whole milk, which will solve my issues. Not sure how whole milk will help with the heating element? This was not disclosed when I purchased the unit. If I had known my milk choice would impact the frother, I would have chosen another brand or product. I like the unit, it's compact, easy to clean, but it did not last.
