Durch Tampern wird das Kaffeepulver im Sieb verdichtet, um einen festen und gleichmässigen Kaffeekuchen mit einer glatten und ebenen Oberfläche zu erhalten.
Durch richtiges Tampern wird der Kanaleffekt vermieden und eine gleichmässige Extraktion des gesamten Kaffeepulvers erreicht. Dadurch werden alle Aromastoffe aus dem Kaffee gelöst.

Dies ist die zweite Generation des Flash Tampers von MHW 3Bomber.
Der Flash Tamper 2.0 ist ein druckgeregelter Tamper mit einem voreingestellten Druck von 13.6 kg. Wird der voreingestellte Druck erreicht, ertönt ein mechanisches Signal als Rückmeldung und der Tamper gibt den Druck wieder frei. Nach mehreren Versuchen hat MHW 3Bomber festgestellt, dass bei einem konstanten Druck von 13.6 kg die Extraktionsrate bei unterschiedlichen Pulvermengen und unterschiedlichen Extraktionszeiten nahezu gleich ist. Der Aussenring, der flach auf dem Siebträger aufliegt, sorgt dafür, dass der Tamper immer senkrecht nach unten gedrückt wird. Der Tamper wird einfach aufgesetzt und nach unten gedrückt, die Feder zieht die Basis wieder nach oben.

Dieser Tamper passt perfekt auf 53 mm Siebträger.
Durch wiederholte Tests hat MHW 3Bomber festgestellt, dass 53,35 mm die perfekte Grösse für Leveling Tools und Tampers ist. Diese passen genau in 53 mm Siebträger und reduzieren die Verschwendung von Kaffeepulver.

Der Tamper hat einen ergonomischen Griff und liegt gut in der Hand. Ausserdem ist der Boden mit konzentrischen Rillen versehen, wodurch mehr Kaffeepulver mit dem Wasser in Kontakt kommt, was zu einer besseren Extraktion führt.

Der gesamte Tamper ist aus hochwertigen Materialien gefertigt. Der Griff besteht aus massivem Walnussholz, der Mittelteil aus einer Aluminiumlegierung, die Basis und die Feder aus rostfreiem Stahl (SUS304). Eine Ersatzfeder wird mitgeliefert.
Der gesamte Tamper ist zerlegbar und kann daher leicht gereinigt werden.

Mit diesem Tamper kann bei richtiger Anwendung eine perfekte Kaffeeextraktion erzielt werden.
