Times Up – Keine Zeit zu Verlieren! ist ein Kommunikations- und Partypiel von Pro Ludo, bei dem Teams gegeneinander antreten und die Namen von Persönlichkeiten erraten müssen.

Das Spiel wird in drei Runden gespielt, wobei jede Runde über 40 verschiedene Persönlichkeitskarten läuft. In jeder Runde gelten unterschiedliche Regeln für die Erklärung:

  • Runde 1 (Freie Beschreibung): Ein Spieler darf beliebig viele Hinweise zur gesuchten Persönlichkeit geben. Verboten sind Teile oder Verniedlichungsformen des Namens, wörtliche Übersetzungen und das Aufzählen von Anfangsbuchstaben. Eine Karte darf nicht übersprungen werden.
  • Runde 2 (Ein Wort): Der Sprecher darf nur noch ein Wort pro Persönlichkeit sagen, und das Team hat nur einen Versuch pro Karte. Falsch geratene Karten führen nicht zum Ende des Zuges, und Karten dürfen übersprungen werden.
  • Runde 3 (Pantomime und Geräusche): Es darf nichts mehr gesagt werden. Die Persönlichkeiten müssen nur durch Pantomime und Geräusche erklärt werden.

Jedes Team hat 30 Sekunden Zeit pro Zug, um möglichst viele Persönlichkeiten zu erraten. Die erratenen Karten bleiben vor dem Team liegen, und die Punkte werden nach jeder Runde notiert.

Das Spiel enthält 418 Karten mit 836 Persönlichkeiten, einen Punkteblock, einen Stift, 12 Spielsteine aus Holz, eine 30-Sekunden-Sanduhr, ein Beiheft mit Erläuterungen und die Spielregel.

Times Up – Keine Zeit zu Verlieren! eignet sich für 4 bis 12 Spieler, die in Teams mit mindestens 2 Personen gegeneinander antreten. Es wird empfohlen für Kinder und Jugendliche ab 12 Jahren. Das Spiel überzeugt durch seine Kombination aus Wortwitz, Tempo und Teamgeist und sorgt für viel Spaß beim Spieleabend, egal ob mit Freunden oder Familie.

It’s really pretty decent except for one thing.

I bought two of these for my basement and they do look great. They were easy to assemble and I’m happy with them. The problem is that the stitching on the fabric panels are almost the size of a machine basting stitch (which for non sewers means large temporary stitches). Because the panels are tight by design, the stitches had already started to come undone before I could finish assembling everything. Fortunately I can sew and I reinforced all the panels. I had to take the first ones back off the poles to do them but I did the second set before assembling. It’s really not a bad product for the money. It’s quality fabric and the design itself looks great. The stitching looks fine but it’s just not substantial enough for the purpose it is supposed to serve. I can’t imagine why it be sewn so insufficiently. I was able to resolve my issue because I can sew. I wasn’t planning on sewing nor did I really have the time. I could have made it myself but I didn’t want to and that is why I purchased this. I ended up using valuable time. The really unfortunate thing is, I have no other complaints. This is a manufacturing problem.
