Indien ist ein Land mit einer langen und reichen Geschichte. So ist es nicht verwunderlich, dass es viele berühmte Porträts von Herrschern aus allen Epochen beherbergt. Das vielleicht berühmteste ist das Porträt des "Mogulkönigs", das den letzten Mogulkaiser Bahadur Shah II. in seiner ganzen königlichen Pracht zeigt. Dieses Porträt wurde 1876 von dem britischen Künstler William Beechey gemalt und hängt heute in der National Portrait Gallery in London. Ein weiteres berühmtes Porträt eines indischen Herrschers ist "Rani Lakshmibai von Jhansi", das die furchtlose Königin zeigt, die ihre Truppen während der Rebellion von 1857 in die Schlacht gegen die Briten führte. Dieses Porträt wurde von dem französischen Künstler Edouard Detaille gemalt und befindet sich heute im Musée d'Orsay in Paris. Diese beiden Porträts sind nur eine kleine Auswahl der vielen, die in ganz Indien zu finden sind, und jedes erzählt eine andere Geschichte über die Vergangenheit dieses faszinierenden Landes.

The suit is a good value. Ordered for senior prom for my son. He is 5’10 athletic build and between 165-170 lbs so we ordered the small since he wanted a slim fit and nothing that would be very loose. The suit fit him great, not too snug , the jacket has a satin finish on the lapel and edge of pockets which gives it an elevated elegant look. The jacket has an interior pocket but the rest are just for aesthetic as they do not open. I did have to cut a small slit in order to use the pocket square. The pants fit like a glove but you may want to size up if you are very muscular. The material is light weight which is perfect for prom season or warmer weather. The vest was oversized but we were not planning to use the vest anyway. Quality: several hanging threads that needed to be snipped but no big deal, the stitching was even and straight and the interior had piping of a complimentary fabric. After a full night of dancing and activities he did not have any issues with stitching breaking or splitting of seams. The buttons are black with a silver edge which give the suit some sophisticated flair but keep this in mind if you plan to style with gold. Overall, I am very pleased with this suit considering it’s price point. It’s perfect for a teen that will attend various senior events. Shipping took 2 weeks so plan accordingly and pay attention to the expected delivery date.
